PREFABtank storage systems are made of galvanised, corrugated steel panels. The well-conceived design has many practical advantages. The corrugation (76 x 18 mm) creates strength and rigidity even with thinner panels, allowing the construction of water tanks with diameters up to 31 metres and wall thicknesses of 0.8 - 2.0 mm. The tank panels are jointed by means of bolts, nuts and washers. Because of its light weight and the simple bolt connections, the PREFABtank storage system can be easily installed by two to four people; no special hoisting systems or tools are needed.

Special coating

In addition to the standard galvanised version, the tank panels can also be provided with an extra protective coating, the duplex pre-coat system. Preserving the zinc layer protects against corrosion and considerably extends the material’s lifetime.

Tank base (foundation)

Depending on the soil stability, the tanks can simply be placed on a sand bed, sunk into the ground surface (to at least 40 cm). On less stable or rocky soil, a simple concrete floor or concrete ring can serve as a foundation.

Tank liners

A plastic liner (membrane) on the inside of the steel tank provides complete water tightness. Tank liners are available in different materials, such as PVC, Polyolefin or EPDM. The use of a liner renders the PREFABtank suitable for storage of almost any kind of liquid.

Tank covers

Various solutions have been developed to cover the silo. The choice of the right cover depends on the tank diameter, the application and the climate conditions.

Special applications

The innovative details and well-conceived design make the PREFABtank suitable for use in numerous applications, such as the storage of waste water, manure / sludge, distilled water, drinking (potable) water and other liquids. The tank systems are also used for aerobic and anaerobic systems (aeration), complete purification systems and the storage of cereals, seeds and granules. Standard solutions are available for the installation of pumps and mixers in our tank systems.
